Technical Skills Education: The Neurosurgery Resident Experiences in Sylvian Fissure Split and Microsurgical Aneurysm Clipping: A Comparison Between Pterional and Minipterional Craniotomies.

The intensity of preparing for complex neurosurgery cases during the residencies years make the stress of assisting the attending surgeon in the operating room challenging. It is critical while assisting that the trainee maintains patient safety.

Here we present our experience on the resident technical skills during Sylvian fissure dissection and microsurgical clipping for cerebrovascular surgical cases, making a comparison between the pterional and minipterional craniotomies under the attending surgeon guidance.
